Molly Brannigan, MA, IBCLC has been supporting new parents, babies and expectant parents with lactation since 2004, and as a Board-Certified Lactation Consultant since 2008. She provides non-judgmental, problem-solving support to help parents achieve successful, easy and satisfying feeding relationships with their babies.
Her areas of speciality are resolving pain (in the breast, nipple, shoulders and/or back), slow-gaining babies, parents with low/slow milk supply, late pre-term babies, babies with medical conditions, parents with over-supply, weaning, and teaching reluctant babies to drink from a bottle.
The more time she spends with parents and babies, the more Molly is struck by the capabilities of newborns, the depth of parents’ intuitive knowledge of their babies, and the intensity of the relationships that babies and parents create together.
Molly’s academic background is in infant and child nutrition. She has been teaching healthy pregnancy, childbirth preparation, baby care and lactation classes privately and at many San Francisco and East Bay hospitals since 2004. She has three (formerly) breastfed children.
Molly sees clients in the office, at the hospital and in their homes. Her service area includes: Richmond, El Cerrito, Kensington, Albany, Berkeley, Oakland, Piedmont, San Leandro, Orinda, Lafayette and Moraga. Travel to other cities will incur a service fee depending on distance.
